Fishing

At Wildcatter Ranch we have 1500 acres of some of the most beautiful prairies and rolling hills in the north Texas area.  Located in the Palo Pinto Hills about 90 minutes from the DFW Metroplex, we have about 2 miles of Brazos River Frontage.

   Tank Fishing -  We have stock tanks on our main ranch which we’ve stocked with Catfish, Black Bass, Hybrid Stripers, and Bream.  Bass are “catch and release.” We supply all the equipment and bait.  Tank fishing is for ranch guests only.

   River Fishing – On the Brazos River itself, you’ll find Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass, Black Bass, Stripers, and Catfish.  Parts of the Brazos are great for fly fishing.  Remember that lake or river fishing requires a state fishing license.  Self guided river fishing is for ranch guests only.

Day Guests

Wildcatter Ranch offers activities for “day guests” based on occupancy and availability. Our cabin guests will be given priority over scheduling of activities.

Day Guests Activity Fees:

Archery, Canoeing, Fishing - $35 per person

ATV Tours - $35 per person

Skeet - $30 for the first round and $15 for each round after that.
