Our team-building experiences are a natural fit for corporate retreats, leadership groups, wellness retreats, and group getaways looking to strengthen connections beyond the office. From high-energy challenges to experiences that encourage communication and collaboration, Wildcatter offers plenty of ways to bring your group together.
In this classic Wildcatter ranch event, guests compete at the archery ranch, shooting range, and horse barn in a creative “think outside the box” way. During this challenge, teams will devise a clear strategy, recognizing strengths and weaknesses while being innovative. Communication and acknowledging each other’s skills is key.
Working together to eliminate various targets, each team member will be allowed 3 shots and then onto the next team member, continuing until all targets are eliminated. The event focuses on speed, efficiency, encouragement, and team camaraderie.
Each team will select one person to fire arrows over the ‘wall,’ relying on the other team members to direct their aim. Points are awarded based on the proximity in which the arrows land. During this event, participants will learn from observation, clear communication, and working together.
With your team’s scavenger hunt booklet and Polaroid cameras ready, you’ll set out on the Green Trail in teams of 5 to work together to decide which targets to seek before 90 minutes is up. Each target is worth different points & teams must communicate to find, understand, and identify as many targets as they can.
Who knows what a live oak is? Bobcat scat? BUT beware, the Squatch! The trails are home to a friendly yet shy Squatch - bonus points if he captures him on camera! But if he captures you on camera, you’ll get a demerit!
Old Fashion or Margarita? Teams will be given a map with rough locations for the ingredients to your chosen drink. After locating all components, teams will race back to the Steakhouse, where the team’s representative will become the mixologist to create the cocktail. A judging panel will decide the best drink, and declare the winners!
Two miles of hiking in 2 hours! Teams will divide into two separate trails to locate their fire-building materials. This challenge combines careful observation and communication, as you don’t want to be forced to loop back! The first team to build a big enough fire using collected materials to burn through the rope wins!
Explore five miles of ranch trails, work together to find your fire-building supplies, and put your survival skills to the test. Teams will navigate the ranch, collect wood, tinder, and magnesium fire starters, then make their way to the overlook at Conner Creek for the final challenge: build a fire and burn through the rope before the other team. This is our biggest team challenge, combining endurance, navigation, communication, and good old-fashioned teamwork.
Teams compete in a series of challenges, from BB gun target shooting and obstacle courses to tomahawk throws. The final challenge puts teamwork to work as teams build something to donate to a local charity, such as youth bikes or bunk beds. It’s a fast-paced test of communication, strategy, and each teammate’s strengths, with donations made to Virginia’s House Family Resource Center in Graham, TX.
First, compete in two cowboy challenges (like roping obstacles) and finish the race as teams work together to ‘blind’ saddle a horse. One team member views the properly saddled horse, while another relays information directly to another team member in charge of saddling.
Learn your way around the dance floor with a Wildcatter wrangler leading the way! Choose a fun, guided line dancing class or put your new moves to the test with a little friendly competition.
Gather your group around a private campfire at the Pavilion or Ranch House, with an attendant on hand throughout the experience. Drinks can be purchased in advance and prepared for your group, and you can add s’mores for a small additional fee.
Race against the clock to create the ultimate guacamole! Teams will barter for ingredients, work with mystery additions, and put their creativity and teamwork to the test.
Add some entertainment to your stay! We have a great list of country artists, jazzy cocktail music, and more to help bring your evening event to life. Our In-House DJ can also provide a great atmosphere

“We hosted our team offsite at Wildcatter Ranch and could not have been more impressed. The property is absolutely stunning, and the hotel rooms are spacious and beautifully appointed. What truly set the experience apart was the staff — every single staff person we encountered took incredible care of us.Special shoutouts to Shannon at the front desk (who made check-in a delight with her warm personality), Amanda for flawlessly handling our meeting and catering needs, Grace and Clint for leading amazing activities, and Angie and Kalli for ensuring our offsite was absolutely perfect. We loved every activity we tried — archery, axe throwing, skeet shooting, horseback riding, and the fire pit — and only wished we had more time to do even more!We can't recommend Wildcatter Ranch enough for a corporate offsite. We'll definitely be back!”
